Dipstick with 4 bolt mains and Canton Oil Pan

Insert the tube until it doesn't go in any further, then mark the tube. Cut the tube about 1" short of the mark. I put a slight bend in the dipstick itself and it cleared the crank just fine. This is something you should do with the motor out while fitting the oil pan.

I too am running the canton 242t with 4 bolt splayed and stock dipstick. It took a little persuasion to get the dipstick to clear the mains but a couple of well placed bends and it cleared just fine without having to cut the tube at all.
