What kind of hood is that? I like that better than any of the other Z hoods I have seen.
if i were spending the time and money to epoxy prime a car correctly i would go ahead and shoot it a real color. theres a place for flat paint, and its hunting and the army, not a car.
imo, i dont even think flat colors look good on old hotrods, just an excuse to be lazy and not do a real paint job, or someones trying to hide bad body work or no bodywork at all..

if you want it shiney at some point after, you get to pay for a paint job again.. so do it right the first time, and save yourself some money.

IMO sometimes flat looks nice. It just depends on your taste. If I was going to be driving on dirtier roads all of the time, and didn't have as much time to clean up my cars I would probably consider doing a flat clear. The only problem is that if you get a scratch or something it can't be buffed out.
