Had it almost 4 years, might be ALMOST half way there. The exterior is almost done and most of the suspension along with some bolt-ons. Still got the rest of the suspension, a touch more exterior work, then onto the interior and the powertrain. Got at least a few more years left probably. My engine/tranny/rear end is gonna be the wallet killer.

It's been six years and I'm not even close and some of the stuff I was happy with are now showing their age/wear so its about time to redo some of the things I was happy with...

I have had mine for a little over 3 years now.. Started near stock.. Did a mild cam and heads set, 2nd header/ ORY set up, 2nd transmission, 5 sets of wheels because I always see other ones that would look better on the car..

But, it is always an ongoing project.. I just need a rear end and a motor down the road..

My car is a '97 and I purchased it brand new back in January of '97. My very first mods after a week or 2 of ownership was a Flowmaster exhaust system, Eibach Sportline lowering springs, Bilstein shocks, polyurethane bushings and window tint. Back in 2002, I purchased a slightly warmed-over, low mileage LT4 motor with a Hotcam from a wrecked '96 Vette and sold the LT1 that came out of my car.

I didn't install the LT4 motor until the summer of 2003. At that time, I also put in a set of Jet Hot coated Hooker long-tubes, K&N air filter, an LT4 clutch and did the LS1 brake swap.

The car pretty much stayed this way up until a month ago. I just recently had a set of AFR #1039 competition ported heads installed, along with a Comp Cams 230 int./236 exh. cam, COMP Cams Ultra Pro Magnum rockers and a new opti-spark. Visually, I have a set of RPM R-505 wheels going on: 18 x 9s for the fronts (275-35-18 tires) and 19 x 13s for the rears (345-30-19 tires)... after the mini-tubs and rear suspension changes are done of course.

The car will probably stay this way for a few years.

Well I buy a pc at a time and do all the labor myself unless it requires tuning or machining. That way the car always stays running for the most part.
Im not rich either, I have a decent job, but no wife/ kids, i have a roommate so rent is cheap and no CC bills and that helps a lot towards car parts. I try and do everything in cash also.

Ive had mine for 3 or 4 years now and mine is no where near done lol. Im just about finished my built motor which has taken me about 2 years of saving and im still sinking money into it. Im sure once i build my trans and rearend ill eventually be done for performance and then ill move onto painting the car/body work. I figure ive got another 5-10 years ahead of me before its done to what i want it to be.

I've owned my car since new. It's been a work in progress ever since. I put my LPE heads on it after it had 30,000 miles and the 211/219 cam went in a year later. Ran it that way for 70K miles. Got bored with it and then tried a few different cams w/ the same heads. It never ran as well until the new motor which took 3 years to complete and another year to get the car to accommodate the new engine's power. It took several years, but my focus on having a decently quick car with no exterior/interior alterations has paid off IMO with nothing owed on a loan or a credit card.
