Lol I hit the reset button for the most part. This is a stock bottom end ls1 with 35k on it, bigger change is the car is a six speed. Im now going to explore chipping away the et on this combo, which will give me lots of comparative data between the two formats.

I doubt you are going to like the 6-speed at the track. Zero consistency compared to an auto, and if you want to go really fast, they can cost a small fortune. What did you do with the LT1?

Hey Joel! Yeah I drove my brothers m6 car and was hooked. I realize im giving up a good bit of et right outta the gate. This car is going to be street driven way more than ever before (power steering is back). Lt1 shortblock is all thats left of the original mill, packed away in the garage.

If you like shifting you'll have a blast with a manual no matter where you are. With practice, suspension and the right tire combination consistency will be a nonissue. Don't let the naysayers or neerdowells tell you no different! The BW T56 is one of the best modern manual transmissions there is. That is at least one piece of the 4th gen LT1 f-body that goes well beyond quality. Stock they can handle 1.5x 60' times with ease.
