weighed the car last night at nyirp and it was 2900 without me and 3110 w/me. There is no metal cut outta the car brackets and all are intact so there is room to go lower.

The car ran the 11.12 with my friend driving (he weighs 170) and the 11.15 with me (210)

Wow I need to get down to 3100lbs raceweight. Nice times. Looks like you need to get your 60' down to 1.4's, you can run 10's. Goodluck

Hey I was just out in the garage and was looking at my ls1 swap and noticed the alternator is tiny compared to the lt1 unit. Is this a direct swap? the pulleys look to be different sizes but they could be changed

Hey Gizmo the car still has the stock torque arm rear springs and shocks, would the most gain in 60ft come from a higher stall converter?

Heres the whole slip from a run last night:

MPH 96.02
1000 9.266
1/4 11.117
MPH 122.14

I purchased a chrs1313 ram air kit from Speed Inc and will be installing that but then im kinda at the point of cam or converter again.

I just can't get over how great your car runs with what it has done. If it don't run 10's with the ram air kit it will in winter.

Jay--what size rear tires are you running? Just want to know the height really. Maybe someone has a slightly shorter tire you could try out to see what happens. A shorter tire would help the gearing and get the car out of the hole a little better. You are SOOOOOO close man!

I just read back to his first post and it says he's running a 28" M/T Drag Radial. I dunno, if he lowers the tire size he may run outta gear. Chas010, what are you coming through the traps at RPM wise?

I realize at this level tenths are difficult to come by, and the lid without a doubt picked up the car at the least a tenth. I would have to say it was definately worth it but should warn that the way that I did the swap (no metal cutting) was very costly and involved. The glasstech 4" cowl hood did not fit my car without trimming.. alot... off everywhere.. but yes worth it.

Hey Joel I have the 275 60 15 mt drag radials 28"inchers I beleive.

Im not sure on the rpm honestly, its low, 6000 maybe high 5's in third. I can run wide open through the traps and a good clip afterward.

Heres a pic with the hood on

In that case see if someone has some 26"tires. The extra gearing should help on the short end. I like the hood.

I look at that picture and I can see 59lbs of stuff you can take out in 10 minutes flat.

Passenger seat (35ish) , both door panels (16-17), and passenger seat belt (6).

That's 58-59 right there. Might sound trivial but you will kick yourself in the *** when you go out and run a 11.000000000 lol.

I was just looking back through the post and seen you have an SLP Catback on the car. Do you think it would benefit you enough to run a x-pipe setup with bullets dumped before the axle? Could be a few more ponies.

Still have the slp on there, it seems like a decent light, free flowing exhaust so I didnt really think about any power there but would consider anything at this point really

Thanks everyone for the help and positive comments, I have put this combo together based on everything I either read or was told from here over the years here.

PS The silver car in the background is not for sale so please stop with the pms

True duals will make more top-end power than a 3" cat-back. I run Magnaflow straight through mufflers. I did run a Magnaflow cat-back. I shaved a good 20-25lbs by ditching the cat-back for duals. An x-pipe won't do **** for top-end power. My friend runs Flowmaster straight through mufflers, 40 series (i think), those things were way lighter than my Magnaflows. They were 8 or 9lbs each iirc, but they cost more though. Mine are held on with simple band clamps and then Paul welded a tab on the back end and a simple hangar holds it to the floor.

Jay-- did you race last night? A bunch of my friends went to Empire. It hit negative DA late in the night. At 8:54 it was -65 feet and at 9:54 it was at -145 feet. You would have gotten your 10 without a doubt.
