Is my optispark bad? Ok I am new to lt1 cars, I have a 96 t/a and I washed the engine compartment the other day and since then the car misses badly and shakes. It throws a random misfire code as well. I put new plugs and wires on it today, but no luck. The optispark is only a year old but could it be bad? Just curious before I spend $370 on one. im curious, i've had my lt1 for about 2 months now and im new to this too, what about winter driving conditions? how does the opti hold up to the rain? sometimes when there's a downpour our city's drainage system can't quite keep up with it.
Try not to floor it thru deep puddles, if you go slow you shouldn't have a problem.
