No they fit easy. You might have one rub the inside of one of the fenders if you don't have an adjustable panhard... if you're cheap you can dent the inside a little bit. But with an adjustable panhard they fit with plenty of spare room.

555r's are usually run on 11 inch wide rims (thats what I have)

These don't rub as bad as other 315's, because the tire is a little narrower than most 315's

They hook great for bolt on and mildly modded cars...for those running low 12's-high 11's thats where they start to slip, otherwise outstanding tire for the money.

Step up would be NT05's, then NT05R's in Nitto's lineup...hope this helps

I completely disagree and I have my car as proof.

I cut a 1.58 60" and did the quarter at 11.12@126 on the exact same tire in a full weight car. They are a phenominal tire for the money and you can get great milage out of them compared to other drag radials.

Bottom line is until I hear otherwise they're the best all around tire for these cars.

They do decent at the strip and in dry weather.

They handle well in the rain.

You get good mileage out of them.

You could run a regular street tire but they will not hook at all, even at bolt on power levels. You could run a more aggressive drag radial or ET street but you're going to get craptacular mileage out of them and won't be able to drive well in the rain.

I never could hook with the 555'rs, but then again pretty much everything in my suspension hurts it in the 1/4.

555Rs for the street, stickier drag radials/et streets/slicks for the strip. And obviously totally different tires if you want to do something like road america.
