Thanks. Your answer makes my question seem kinda stupid, I think. Does the prime connector bypass the relay? If so, I guess it might at least confirm whether the relay is good. I'm pretty sure my relay is good because I can feel it switching on and off with the key.

The fuel lines are the two hard lines that RamAir95TA is discussing, which require fuel line disconnect tools to unhook.
There is a nipple which contains a schrader valve, located next to the FPR. That is where you connect the fuel pressure gauge to verify the fuel pressure.
Best of luck.

My fuel pump is also not priming, which is why I suspect it's shot. That pump probably doesn't have 2-3 hours of actual run time on it. My car has been on jack stands for a few years, and I don't know whether we didn't start it often enough, or whether I just got a bad fuel pump. I suspect the latter, as it came from Autozone or Advance. I wish I had opted for the Delphi pump that O'Reilly's offered, but I had already paid for the other one.

replacing the fuel pump really is not that hard at all. first though, you should really check all the other possibilities before saying your pump is bad. mine ended up being a bad alternator because it wasn't getting the power to the pump. I found that out after I replaced everything else.
btw..I did the "trap door" method for the pump.

You don't disconnect lines to check fuel pressure. You use the schrader valve to hook up a test gauge. This info was given way back in post #17 by RamAir95TA.

Pick up the pump and harness kit. It is a worthwhile upgrade that maintains constant voltage to the pump during high load. It comes with a Walbro 255lph pump - I run the same setup. Pricier than just a pump, but well worth it.
