I was datalogging my car today and the injector duty cycle was 82% Should I upgrade to 30# injectors or will my 24#ers be fine? I'm in Colorado So That why its only using 82% with my head/cam setup.

I would upgrade or get an adjustable FPR. to bump pressure a tad. I bet when we get her tuned the DC will be pushing 85+

You could use a little upgrade. Some redtops would be perfect for you

Nothing wrong whatsoever with 82% DC.

Why would you change them? They are fine! Unless you plan on adding more power of some sort.

Ive been reading that anything over 80% duty cycle and the injectors lose control. Is this not the case?

They are fine. Some people have better results with injectors pushing in the 85-90% duty cycle. I am around 80 right now and my tuner even said I could have gotten away with a slightly smaller injector.

I'll take injectors running at 85% WOT over injectors running 60% ANY day!
Fueling is more accurate and consistent when the "open" time is proportionally much larger then the transient (opening and closing) times. Mine run 85 to 90%.

Don't worry about injector constant until you see 100% or close.

Ask GIZMO. On the teens SE car he actually stepped down from stock sized injectors to 19lbs and picked up time. Injectors perform great when they are sized proberly for the app.

I'm @ 82-83% duty cycle now on a 90* day and The track I run at is around 1400 ft lower than where I live. So on a cool day at the track I think the duty cycle will be unacceptable. SVO 30's should fix this issue.

Don't try to fix a problem that you don't even have. If you exceed 100% DC on your data log for a few seconds during a run in great weather, it's STILL no cause for a alarm.
How many minutes/hours do you think you'll be running at that high DC?

I've run 96% on 30 lb red tops during cool WX with DA around 2000 ft with no problems. I would not stress mid 80s DC.

If you are using Datamaster, the value is calculated, anyway. So, it might not be perfectly accurate.

You do not have a problem. Do not get bigger injectors.

I looked at my datamaster scan again and found a point @ 6250 rpm injector duty cycle is @ 92.5%. I plan on reving this thing to 6500 rpm So I'm going with some 30lb svo's.

Stop trying so DAMN hard to spend your money needlessly!
Don't let yourself be so intimidated by one teeny Datamaster point!
