$20 intake elbow.
SOMEONE doesn't have a sense of humor.
i have a sense of humor..
you just seem upset about the post.. you **** on the post from the start.. people get on here to forward information and help others, and then theres monkeys like you.
i guess your the type that pays to have everything done..
The only services I have paid for on my car are assembling a 9" center section and my rotating assembly for my 383. Everything else I've done with my own two hands.
And you're right, I'm only on here to monkey around. I've never helped anyone.

most people dont care to overpay for menial tasks and items, such as setting up a 9inch center section, or a shortblock assembly..***** easy, it isnt rocket science.
you make the suspension components on your car? or you buy them and bolt them on? bet that cost you how much $ you got in your car anyways? i have $300 in my entire engine.. have about $2500 in my whole car.. some people dont like pissing away money on overpriced items and labor.
i guess your the type of person that buys every bolt-on item you can, and say you built the car,
you probably have a nice bolt-on ride..

But wait ladies and gentleman, he has a DESCREENED MAF! Look out! And yeah, I've purchased as many things as I can to make my car faster, better, and safer (Isn't that the point?!). So far it's working. On that note, call me when you get out of the 14s (unlikely, since you'll probably need to spend more than $25 for that extra power).
Honestly, at this point you're just making yourself look retarded.
Group purchases can be arranged once I receive a minimum order quantity of 20. I think that's a hell of a deal, considering everyone will probably want at least 2 a piece!

IT'S A ******* ELBOW. I'm no engineer, but I've been around these cars for quite some time and OBVIOUSLY have a much more solid understanding of these cars than you do.

i rest my case, you cant even build an engine or setup a 9 inch, so what do you know?
as my intake elbow was ripped to **** and folded up into my throttle body blocking air flow i went with the ebay special. 53$ or something like that. I plan to see improvements over stock only because i wont have a giant loose rubber flap blocking my TB and post MAF pirate air leak lol. The ebay special is closer to a TF elbow also but half the price.
Dont need half a paycheck to buy an intake either, used parts arnt always a bad thing, Check out CraigsList. Lingenfelter also has one for 159.99 NEW

My stock elbow was torn by someone that did some work on my car. They tried to fix it with electrical tape. The 1LE elbow seems a bit thicker than the factory elbow, but that may just be my imagination. If you pay attention to what you're doing, I see no reason why the stock elbows should ever tear.
I like my idea, if there is also a way to ensure no rain ingestion.
Maybe a prefilter in the beginning of it or some type of sponge or what not ?
The other possible would be to put another bend in it and a filtered drain of some form, but I was trying to get the least amount of bends, for obvious reasons.
I mean, even the hood ram air in forward direction, how does that system ensure no water ingestion ?
Maybe something similar can be done on the desired set up ?
