Default lt1 cam?

just got my shortblock back from pinkstons machine shop. he line bored the cylinders, new freeze plugs and cam bearing, turned the crank. he also reconditioned my rods and pistons. he was the cheapest estimate i got and did alot for what i paid. while tearing down the motor, he dicovered my cam has some issues. the back 2 lobes and several other on the rest of the cam has really bad pit spots on them, he said my lifter have to be bad. the engine before it was in my possession apparently wasnt taken care of. had alot of sludge in the motor. so now that i have to replace the cam and lifters, anybody have any suggestions on what cam lifters to go with? i am uploading pictures to my profile.

there's more to cam selection than opening to the right page closing your eyes and hopefully picking the right one.....check the stickies and do search and then ask questions with a few more details, like goals.....then maybe call LE/AI or you're desired cam producer.....

Those are the same companies that I told you to call when I was on the phone with you earlier. Also as fleetmgr said check out the cam selection by stealthformula. You already said you want this to be for nitrous. So use that towards your selection.

sounds good.but im really starting to lean torwards a turbo. but i wont be like jimmy and not have a ride for 2 years cause he buy a part and puts it on, that would take forever. im pretty sure i could go back with a stock cam and be fine but those things are not much cheaper than a comp cam.

You would want forged pistons to boost.

A properly built turbo setup will cost you 10 times more than a cam-only motor install. I'm not exaggerating.
