Default CLUTCH ADVISE for built lt1

ok for starters, i have a 95 camaro,lt1, 355,306 comp cam,1.6 rockers, ported heads&intake, srp pistons, eagle rods, eagle steel crank, 58mm bbk, msd everything, under drive pulley's, crs elec water pump, long tubes, dual 3" x pipe all the way to back, all suspension up grades, moser 9", spool, 457 gear, looped and frames tied, umi torgue arm relocator transmission brace, 175 wet kit, 6 point cage. i have ran a centerforce dual friction for the last 5 years. my problem is they are not selling them anymore, just dfx.

MY QUESTION; im on a budget right now, so... has anyone used a ram hd clutch or is there one that is similar to the dual friction. i had such good luck with df clutch i want something similar without blowing my budget. any help is greatly appreciated!

I am using the Mcleod single disk with a stock pressure plate. It has held up good for 40k miles and a few years behind a stock head/stock bottom end and a comp 306. I do not launch the car hard though, because I do not want to break my 10 bolt.

No complaints with my ram powergrip HD except rear end carnage. It drives pretty close to stock with no chatter.

I had the dual friction, and spec 2+ is just what you need, ram hd is amazing as well. Clutch net is a great place also.

That wouldn't even come close to holding the power of a h/c/nitrous LT1. After I took out my mcleod single disk I decided that I'll never run a dual friction again. The less grippy friction side is always the weak link. The clutch only had around 30k on it.

I've had spec, ram, centerforce DF and DFX. DFX FTW!! best clutch i ever had.. blew my car up and now my buddy runs the disc in his 10 sec n/a 6.0. Since the DFX is out of your budget I would also recommend the powergrip

I've been a fan of ram clutches. My next clutch for NAWZZZZ will be a ram powergrip HD.

I've got a CF dual and was going to buy another on for my 383. On my 408 I bought a 12 inch CF and SMOKED it in 500 miles!!! So with 25k and 4yrs on my LT1 the CF was/is great. Guess I may go RAM with my new setup...
