Yea, guys using a 10" converter at the strip are making ALOT of steam (1000+hp). I had a 9" converter I wanted restalled and the guy said at the 600hp small block level anything over 4500 and it'll kill the converter. You're going to lose 15 lbs of rotating mass going to that 8" as well.

 

I should have gone with an 8in.. Next time around
