Question about catch can????
Question about catch can???? OK so I'm having a problem with oil in my intake manifold so i bought a oil catch can. The question i have is should i put the catch can on the passenger side where the oil is coming from and then to the TB or do i put it on the PVC on the driver side where it is trying to filter the oil. Its a 93 so it has the lope instead of the long line like the 95-97...
yes i did a search and all i see was the PVC thing from the hardware store and not a catch can.....thanks for the help

I called norris performance that makes the aluminum catch can I got, and they recommend putting it on the driver side. They said run it in line from pcv and make sure it is lower or feeding down.
The breather hose on the passenger side is the fresh air source. The vapors flow both ways on this side. It would be more beneficial to install it on the pcv side as you will be catching the vast majority of the oil vapors, unless you wanted to utilize a catch can on each side (takes up more room). Or you could put a filtered breather on the pass side as that would catch and filter out that air. I have the Norris catch can and I mounted it on the front of the driver side head. Looks factory and has about 1/2" of oil in it after maybe 1500 miles.
