how much abuse can a stock lt1 take?

abuse? it's just an intake...all it does if feed air to the heads and no coolant flows through it. the only "weak points" i can think of is the fact that it is stock. porting and polishing to increase airflow and to accommodate a 58mm throttle body will over come it's "weak point" of holding back hidden power....

If it runs well and you maintain it, it will probably withstand more abuse than you can throw at it (based on your attitude in your Original post)
I have a couple extremely wreckless friends that drive the ever living **** out of these cars, and they have a very high tolerance for beating-IF you know what you're doing.
