Default Coated rod and main bearings.

Gonna go with coated Durabond cam bearings. Does anyone make coated rod and main bearings? Or overkill? Thanx

i think overkill.
i like the regular ol' clevite main and rod bearings..

generally if i can run my fingernail across the journal and it catches on anything, groove, knick,whatever i will have it polished.. i will also check for taper, if i remember correct its like .0005 taper...

Thanx brucer. I'm guessing the balancing really isn't going to change much with fresh rod bearings.

if your just freshening it up with new bearings and rings theres no need to balance...

you can have a stock rotating assembly balanced and it will make a stock engine run smoother and rev better.. can help it last longer also..

but then I'll have to get an aftermarket zero balanced flywheel. Doesn't seem like a bad tradeoff.
