Default Whats your guys' true dual setup like?

Ok i want to do a true dual setup on my car. Deffinetly 2.5", stock engine and I need as much clearence as possible, heres what im looking at
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-24215/
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-642125/
I have pacesetter headers however they're not the "street" headers, their the race headers (no egr hookup), so theres no flanges to bolt the headers to the exhaust. Also Ive been reading that i will need to extend the xpipe a little because of the pacesetters. Heres what ive been reading for the true duals
http://www.lt1engine.com/tech/how-to...duals-exhaust/
Anything im missing here? And also, whats an "in the ballpark" estimate of what I'll gain horsepower wise?

Ok. And do you have pacesetter headers? Did you have to put that "extension" in?

Yeah the post at lt1engine.com (link above) said it would be about 4 1/4inch extension on each side. And is your engine stock?

it would even be super loud on a stock car. Dont get dumped true duals unless you are prepared for it to be loud and annoying

I don't think mine are that loud until you decide to put your foot into it hard. Casual driving with bolt ons in mine seems to be no louder than the Flowmaster cat back that the car had on it when I bought the car. Put your foot into it all the time on the other hand and it will make noise and bug the hell out of your neighbors and the po-po! >

See my only worry is cops. If they look at the right angle they might see the dumps as well as hear the throatiness. However looking at your picture it looks normal and i cant see the dumps, plus im gonna run a 2.5 so it may even be better. Might be a dumb question but is it as loud or louder than an SLP loudmouth?

I just did mine, yes if you order a universal x you will need extensions, all i did was buy a 3" id to 3" od adapter and put them inbetween and it gave me the extra legnth i needed. I do not have mufflers on mine and it is loud, LOUD LOUD LOUD. It sounds amazing. But even rolling at 5 MPH sounds like a stock lt1 doing 150. It is extremely loud.

heres a 2.5" true dual with h-pipe from myltwon.

http://www.streetfire.net/video/1994...als_704419.htm

it sounds great in person and is worlds quieter than my 3" single magnaflow and another friends 3" dumped x pipe. got all the rumble you need and less unnecessary attention.

im running a custom setup with pacesetter longtubes (the race style as well). have cutouts right after the collectors, an h pipe after those, then hooker aerochamber mufflers. 2.5" from behind the cutouts, 2.5" mufflers, just chillin before the rearend. it sounds real nice, not too loud until you go WOT then it sounds sick... but i can drive next to cops without getting a second look and cruising on the highway at 80mph is awesome, there's no "flowmaster drone" as i call it.lol

I don't know what i want to do. Will it sound "ratty" at idle or is it a nicer rumble?
