worst part is the "shim" needs to be more of a wedge to get the dist to sit correctly. There was a guy, years ago, modding LT1 intakes for the L98 Thirdgen cars. Worked really well, and was a very cheap alternative to the MiniRam.....the mini still flowed way better, but for those that couldn't afford it, the conversion was very nice. If you search on Thirdgen.org you can probably still find the guy doing it...he was very hardcore into the L98's IIRC
