I have most of the engine stuff you need, crank, rods, pistons, heads etc. PM if interested.
I have seen guys make 1000 hp with regular 4340 crank-rods and forged pistons. You dont need all this billet stuff.
You can build a 383 with 4340 crank-rods forged pistons a decent set of heads and a 88 mm turbo and make 700 to the wheels(six speed) like falling off the sidewalk.
AND you can do it on the stock ecm.

i'm sure those diesel engines running 14:1 compression or more and 30lbs of boost or more are rebuilding that often..
if its setup correct you dont have to **** with it no more than a blown carbureted setup or a na setup.. probably have to mess with a na setup even more actually..

do some research, a lot of research.... there is also a sticky in the forced induction forum on everything that needs to be considered. Also, there is a sponsor on here that does lt1 turbo builds, lt1boost.net I think. You should probably start with him or someone that HAS built the same thing you are trying to do

there's alot of people posting in here that shouldnt be. the guy with the big block idea....
like fastfatboy said... 355 or 383, 88mm, and some big heads is an easy 700+ rwhp. buddy of mine did it with a gt47, comp ported afr 227s (non eliminator) on a 355 with eagle 4340 stuff. stock computer and opti as well.

several sets..
the reason i say a bigblock is for the journal sizes, and the beefy blocks, rods, and pistons... yea you can use a smallblock, but your pissing in the wind compared to a bigblock..
you can build alot less of a bigblock and make more power for the money.. plus you dont have to push it as hard..
