Default Clutch Recommendations

Clutch is going and need to put a new one in this winter. My car just has bolt-ons, maybe step up to a somewhat mild cam setup this winter since I'm dropping the motor for some maintenance. What would you recommend?

When I had bolt-ons I ran a Ram Powergrip HD and it was great. Grabbed good and easy to daily drive. It should hold up good with a cam too

search the forum for competition clutches. They make a good clutch for the money. I paid $299 for a stage 2.

This is the route I'm going to go when I buy a clutch.

I'm running the powergrip HD. It might be overkill for a bolton car though. Great street manners and grabs like a ****.

What more info would you like. It's all in that thread.

Badass clutch so far. Everyone who has actually used one of these clutches has nothing but rave reviews.

Which clutch on the site would you recommend for someone that doesn't daily driver and doesn't use it on the strip? I just drive it on the street to have one. I do not plan to have over 400 horsepower anytime soon.

I have a perfection clutch from Advance Auto and it works great. No slipping, very drivable. Its burnout approved

I think it was like 230 bucks. Got it installed in a day.

I'd go with this clutch:
http://www.competitionclutch.com/sto...hp?vinvid=6858

it's rated to 550hp, so you should be a-ok with it.

for the $299 the 4134-2250 "looks" to be a solid set up. It would compare to a stock valeo PP with the McLeod DF disc....you pay $410 if you buy a auto part store clutch for $230 and $180 for the McLeod disc.

I'll post up more after it's installed and got some miles on it.

Looks like they tried to copy Ram.

Dual friction clutches are garbage IMO. The side with the "weaker" material is always going to be the weak link. This is how my old mcleod wore....
