Default Is this common on Pacesetter Longtubes?

This is a pic into one of the primaries of my brand new Pacesetter LTs. It's like this on several of the primaries. These are very pronounced bumps, they are somewhat sharp too. Is this common, or is this a defect which constitutes returning them? I don't know enough to determine if this will hinder performance at all, although I'd think it would cause some turbulence in the airflow since it's immediately after the exhaust port, but I'm no expert. My first thought is to exchange them for a new set, but if this is normal for Pacesetter headers I don't want to trouble the vendor only to receive another set that has the same thing. Any thoughts?

mine didn't have that either. i would worry about the random chance of one of those breaking off and somehow managing to get into the head. i do not think it would be unreasonable to exchange them for another set.

iirc exhaust reversion could cause one of those to end up in the head if it broke off

I figured it was welding splatter, although that's some pretty gnarly splatter IMO. Would you guys run it or return it?

Mine had the same thing. I knocked them off with a chisel, most of them came off easily.

Small chisel and a hammer and they will easily knock off.
