Wink Black spoiler on red car

The paint on my ss spoiler is shot along with the top of the car behind t-tops. My friend said I should just paint the top of my spoiler black when I'm painting the top of the car and the wheels. I thinking about doing it along with painting the stinger black.

So it would be black top, black zr1's and a black spoiler and stinger on a red car. Y'all think it would look cool or ricey. I wish I knew how to Photoshop.

Ugly. Don't make it look like a Honda . But then again its ur car . Your the driver . Mattblack hardtop, would look sick with mattblack rims. Idk about the spoiler. Do it and find out it might not look bad. Who knows

It would be glossy black not matte. Only part I'm thinking would look really bad would be where the spoiler meets the corner panel.

Main reason I don't want to do it red is I don't want to buy a quart of red paint just to do the top of the spoiler.
I'm a cheap bastard

Yea I understand. Paint the whole thing black the whole upper trunk. Kinda like this but camaro of course. My car has the exact same paint job but instead of glossy I did matteblack http://www.google.com/m/search?q=lim...ource=mog#i=13

I was going to do this on mine (silver as well) but I had an all black LS1 SS spoiler and it actually looks pretty damn cool!

I just gotta get it painted for real and I'll show it off - goes good with a glossy berger, just need my roof black as well.

Glad to see all these pics. I like how the spoiler looks from behind black. I think I'm gonna Do the whole thing instead of just the top.

Oh man that looks so out of place since it stops half way up the hatch.

I guess my car is trashy and ugly from the comments in here...

Anyways here are some old and new pics of my car from several different angles so you can get an idea...

IMO Rims, roof, berger panels look ok, but the entire spoiler makes it look unfinished to me when its black. Not a fan of the two-tone"esque" look myself.

Thumbs down

Don't do it!
From a performance standpoint......this is the LT1/LT4 Performance section, right?..........I must warn you that the black surface in the sun will retain an inordinate amount of heat compared to the rest of the body, including an extended high temperature boundary layer around the spoiler, disrupting the intended airflow and creating unpredicatable and inconsistent lift at the rear of the car, thus detracting from overall vehicle performance.

Rattle can it yourself full black in whatever finish you want, install, look then decide if YOU like it or not to **** with whatever anyone else thinks its your car so do it. This way you will see it on your car and will know if you like it instead of asking other peoples opinions when the either A) own a T/A or B) don't own a red car.

Can paint it yourself for under $10 in most cases with a can.
