First and only pass NA LT1
Just got back from my first and pnly pass of the year
Cars a 396, mild cam 236/244 112 LSA .570 lift
11.5 to 1
touched up TFS (280 CFM)
Single 3 inch exhaust BLAH
3000 vig
3.23 gear BLAH AGAIN
BALD 2 yr old street tires
1.90 60'
11.83
119 MPH
i had some serious tranny issues because i just changed from a 4.10 to 3.23 rear and the car seemed to sit on the limiter after it passed 6200 RPM so i think id have a 120 MPH pass if that didnt happen, what do you guys think? went through the traps at around 5500 RPM
raceweight was 3600 with me in it, i cant believe how hard the car hook, i rolled into it and it went! haha.

Those gear changes, speedo issue, low stall and street tires are killing you by half a second plus, EASY. You should be in the ~11.2 range with that MPH.
And a 1.9 60' "rolling into it" is not hooking hard. But without a higher stall, gears, and a better tire, as is, I doubt you'll be able to get out of the 1.8s, much any less than that.

with tires alone i know the car would do a 1.6-1.7 sixty man, and to me thats hooking hard on a bald 245 street tire, i probably gave it 1/4 throttle off the third light then rolled into full throttle.
car should MPH even more with a real exhaust and actually shifting lol.

get some real tires and hammer out your issues and you should go very low 11's.
but for a mild cam/**** 60ft 396 your running pretty good. The mph is there.
What kind of tune do you have?

the tune is an old dyno tune that chad golen had done i will say its pretty lean across the board, 13.3 at WOT 6300 RPM
i want drag radials and want to pull a wheel but i cant afford a 9" right now, next season ill get 3" true duals and some tires.

As stated your results are great! there are a few 396s around that barely run 12.3 and you ran 11s with complications.....Lets see 3000 stall should be a 3600,lack of gear 3.73s+ needed, need better exhaust, need traction possibly a retune bro you have a 10 second ride! What suspension and traction parts do you have?

I'd say throw some DR's on and give it a go. 10 bolts can live long lives behind the 4l60e.
Considering horrible gearing for drag racing, small stall, and shitty street tires, your car is performing well. What was the DA if you mind me asking?
Sounds like you have a very well running MILD 396 street car w/ that small of a stall and some 3.23's. Still probably gets decent gas mileage and surprises a good chunk of people

thanks all, it does run very well for what it is, its probably out of fuel too with 30 lb injectors and a stock fuel pump. the stall acts much looser then a 3000 though probably like a 3400. i COULD run a PT4000 with 3.73 gears, open headers, slicks, and possibly run a 11.00 but honestly the cars a great driver.
i did sort of want to switch to maybe a voodoo 60123 (243/251 but cut on a 107 LSA) and bump the compression to 12:1 but then id have no choice to run more stall.

Im just glad the car runs really well considering how many people on this board and other sponser companies on this board told me how junk golen motors are and i would of been lucky to put down 3xx RWHP, the car made 415 unlocked lol.
thanks guys.
