The LT4 retainers are very light weight compared the the LT1's, so much that you can feel it holding them in your hand.
Maybe it's because the LT4 parts superceded the regular LT1 retainers and locks, but when I bought my LT4 springs the GM parts catalog listed the same part numbers for the retainers and locks for both the 96 LT1 (96 Formula to be exact) and the LT4 Corvette.

Quote from Lunati's Website

" Degree bushings can be used on the cam sprocket to offset the cam locating pin."

" 3- or 9- keyway timing chain sets have additional keyways cut into them to index the crank sprocket. "

just beware because i don't think there attention for detail is that great so other cams could be different since these cams are regrinds

I ran those in my 305 boat engine. When I built my 383 LT4, I put the factory LT4 cam in my boat and used those springs because the LT4 springs did not fit the 305 head. Big difference, the boat ran great. Never had a problem.

I take that back, I think the ones I ran were 1.26 OD, but they were simaler to those and came of Ebay. Mine were the Z28 springs.

Since I wasn’t able to find weight data on the “lightweight” LT4 retainers, 19171528, I figured I’d post for anyone else looking. Stock LT1 retainers weighed 256.98g for a set of 16 and 261.91g for the LT4 retainers.
