Genuine LT4 valve springs might be getting scarce these days. IIRC I got mine many years ago at www.sdpc.com for around $40.00 or so. I used them with my LT1 retainers and locks with no issue.

Higher lift, need them if your going from 1.5 to 1.6 ratio rocker arms. Got my heads apart and they are worth changing to me since its all out of the car.

From what i understand LT4 is a good cheap cost efficient spring if you plan to only swap to 1.6RR or a low lift cam. $36.95 is not bad if you dont need more than .525" lift

cool cool, the heads still on my car but that isn't a prob for me, my car has 106k miles I think it might be time for new springs along with 1.6rr, that combination should make it worth the time right?

I just want something mild, nothing special, if not that one maybe a copy of the LT4 hot cam, the guy that sells that first one sells the LT4 copy for 120 bucks, I just want to feel the car a lil bit stronger

I looked into this earlier this year and it looks like the LT4 springs aren't the best choice for even a mildly cammed car. More than likely, you'll have to pick up some good springs from somewhere like comp if you plan on running an aftermarket cam.

Running LT4 springs with an aftermarket cam is almost like running 1.6rr's on stock springs, it's pushing it IMO.

I have a used set that came out of my LT4 Vette without retainers. The had about 40,000 miles on them. I will sell them to you for $50.00.

And yes you will need the LT4 retainers with the springs. The LT1's wont work. LT4 springs are bigger round.
The LT4 retainers are very light weight compared the the LT1's, so much that you can feel it holding them in your hand.

LT4 springs were designed to handle the LT4 Hot Cam and thats about as big as you can go.

Honestly the need for speed never ends ..and you would be happier in the long run with buying springs that don't need changed again when you decide that cam isn't gonna be enough for a fix next year...................
