What is your opinion on how fast this car could go as it sits
http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto/1974737815.html

Now how about with Longtubes and a 4000 stall

The stall may or may not even go on the car if it's an M6.

Long tubes with cutout, lid conversion, 3600, DRs is a better/cheaper version of this

I would not waste my money on anything below a 3600 stall.

Well matters what side of the 12's you want to be in man. a 12.9 is a 12 sec car but if you want to get well into the 12's like 12.5's Headers full exhaust Gears stall and some drag radials you should be there. My car runs 13.3's with The long tubes true duals CAI and a tune and thats it

I did 12.9@104, 1.77 60' on the stock motor with long tubes, Vig3200, 3.73's, other small bolt-ons, and ET Streets.

I ran 12.8s with a cold air, long tubes, off road Y, Borla and a Vigi 3200. Normal weight reduction. Had some old Nittos on some salad shooters, WS6 wheels up front.

provided the track prep is good and the DA is decent that combo should do easy 12s
That is basically what my buddy did with his 95 Formula. I want to say his was a 2800 Vigilante instead of a 3000 stall. He was also running ET Streets. He still had stock manifolds but the rest of the exhaust was done.

If I remember right, he ran 12.9@102-103. We were at MIR for one of the VVF events, so probably 97 or 98 time frame.

So it's pretty much a guarantee with Longtubes (And obviously Y-pipe and catback) and a 4000 or 4400 stall, this thing will turn 12s? If so it looks like I'm getting back into the LT1 game! I just sent the guy an e-mail. If everything goes right I'll pick it up Friday

Any other opinions on the times it will turn. Really into the car, however really nervous about leaving my tried and true LS1. Here is the final setup (The way it comes +what I will do to it) I planning to run besides prehaps building the tranny.
As it comes:
.30 Over bore
1.6 Lifters
Cam (Described as "mild", will get specs before buying)
Forged Pistons and Rods
190cc Heads
Accel 300+ Ignition Optispark replacement
3.73 Gears
52mm Throttle Body
LT4 Intake
Subframe Connectors
Adjustable Torque Arm Bar
EV6 Injectors

+ I will add
Hooker or TSP Longtubes
ORY pipe
Hooker Catback
CAI
M/T Drag Radials
4000 or 4400 Stall
!Backseat
Trunk gutting (no spare tire or jack, no carpet beyond back seat area etc.)

Input appreciated!!!

Lmao Don't even wanna get started on this one.

Anyhow, when I first started in the LT1 world (1998ish) my 1st Z28 was running high 12.6s low 12.7s all day long in hot and humid August Indiana weather with a NX 150 kit, CAI, LT4 Hotcam (stock tune), stock gears, and stock salad shooters with Michelin MXX3'S.

As for this car you're possibly getting, have fun with it and let us know what you end up with. It should be solid in the 12s no problem if it runs right, and possibly high 11s.

If that really is going to be the set up, then lower 11s should be where it ends up and if not I would be pissed.

mild cam = LT4 HOT cam to 503 cam...still would expect lower 11s.
Get the AI heads in the used parts section, that would be the best route to begin with.
