I remember going to the dealer to buy an oil pressure sending unit and the IPC showed the sensors location above the filter even though the guy behind the counter entered 1994 as for the applicable year.
I think I read on Shoebox's website that early 94 blocks had the OPSU at the bottom.

Here's a pic of my Autometer sending unit in the same location:

I used 3 brass fittings here:
1 - 1/4" pipe nipple
1 - 1/4" x 1/8" reducing coupling
1 - 1/8" pipe elbow
I used Loctite between the nipple and the reducing coupler - This essentially makes them permanently attached. Next, I installed those two fittings in the block using pipe sealant on the nipple & then installed the elbow using some pipe sealant. Last, I installed the sending unit using a standard socket (for the Autometer sending unit).
You should be able to do something similar to get the factory 1/4" sending unit to work. The key is to space it out from the block just a bit with a nipple.

Won't have to, whytryz28 gave me the right part number. I hate part stores sometimes!
Edit: Even though I told two stores then that the part number is INCORRECT, they probably won't put in for a correction. I had to drive further to get the right part. Gonna stick it in in the morning.
