Default I think I screwed up.... coolant temp sensor or sender?

I needed the coolant temp (sensor/sender?) that threads into the block on the drivers side... I know there is one in the block, and one in the radiator. Is the one in the block the sender or sensor?

I bought Delphi part number TS10075, and the plug from the engine harness won't plug into it. I'm guessing I bought the wrong one, and I need the sender?

I don't remember the part number but the one you have sounds like the one that goes on the pump, I know cuz when I went to get mine the auto parts guy gave me the wrong one

pretty sure this was the part number from the head one (AC-D #213-77)

Cool thanks guys. The messed up thing is they look identical, and have the same size threads on both sender and sensor lol

Yep! The only difference is that one is a two-prong plug and the other is a 1-prong.

I am not sure how the parts store did it, but I tried to replace the temp sensor in the w/p. Put the new one in and it did not work. Fans immediately came on and I think I had a SES light. Put the original back in and all was well.
