i used vr1 for the first 500 miles with a napa gold filter


now i use rotella with a napa gold filter for each oil change

I've always used regular conventional oil for first 500 then changed to whatever I want to use from that point on. I'm using valvoline 30w non detergent to break mine in.

Very interesting, since the factory fill on the LT1 Corvette was MOBIL 1 synthetic. I believe they were broken in by the customer.
