High Idle After WOT!!!
what's up guys i have a 95 impala ss and i'm having trouble with my idle. I have already replace my IAC and TPS sensor and cleaned my throttle body. I'll triple check for vacuum leaks but none that i'm aware of at this time. It seems to only happen after i go WOT and when i seem to come and park the car i notice that it is idling alot higher than when i first started. Any suggestions, as of why it would it would do this and what I could check thanks.

Check the shaft and butterflies, i had a hell of a time tracking down a high idle issue with my bbk. There was play between the cable "bracket" and shaft. Slamming WOT would reclock the shaft, and when the blades closed it would hang them open. I could "click" it back to normal, but obviously not while driving. Ended up tig welding it all together.

If it is indeed a sticky throttle you should take care of it as soon as possible. It's no fun blasting down the interstate at 100 mph, letting off the throttle, and continuing to accelerate lol. Ask me how i know lol

Do not replace anymore parts. I have that same problem. It definitely sounds like the throttle bodie. Pull over after opening up at WOT. Pop the hood and push on the throttle linkage as if u were trying to close the throttle blades. If the idle drops then the throttle bodie is definitely sticking.
I tried to fix this problem by putting on a throttle return spring. It didn't completely fix it but it helps out a whole lot.
The problem is, the blades aren't closing enuff allowing extra air to be sucked in even while off the the throttle.
Go ahead and check that out and then let us know wut u come up with.
