Thanks. These LPE heads have served me well for the last thirteen years. They never cease to amaze me on how they've gotten the job done with everything I've thrown at them. Perhaps it's time to see what an AI head can do from here...
Hah, likely go faster. At the same time, do you really care if it makes more power.

I had a guy who worked for us years back that was at LPE when he began his career. He'd indicated that when John was alive, they were serious about bringing a truly competitive product to market. That isn't to say anything of what they put out now, I have not seen enough of the new stuff to make an overall assessment.

Good luck with it.

I was a friend of a sales person (Chris Buchs) who was promoted to Sales Manager around the time John passed. He said basically the same thing. After John's crash and especially after he passed moral went down the toilet and no one cared about QC. I've always wondered if they've "improved" upon their CNC program for LTx heads or if it's about the same. I was told that John really didn't care about the LTx product once the LS1 hit the market. And yes, you are correct. Not sure if I want to invest the money into new heads when these have exceeded my expectations.

Can't blame him for seeing the future, the big money was in the LS1's, not to say the LT1 stuff is cheap.

I don't blame LPE one bit. It's more along the lines as to whether or not the CNC program they've had for LTx heads has changed in the last 13+ years.
