When it was N/A, my full weight power everything in it 93 weighed in at 3400 lbs. Two tons it ain't. ONLY potential weight saving items were the Firehawk hood and Corbeau seats. Hoping to be just over that now with the turbo kit/intercooler given I also went tubular A-Arms and K-Member.

my originally V6 car, with nothing but the bare necessities and about 30lbs of dynamat weighed 3355 with a 1/2 tank of gas. I've taken out:

abs
ALL EGR and emissions stuff
heat
AC

BUT I've added the 30lbs of sound deadening, a heavy *** GMMG and TA hatch...

These cars should weigh in around 3500lbs without driver and bone stock. Or at least that's what I've come to see.

I never trust those truck scales. They are accurate when weighing TRUCKS/TRAILERS that weigh 10's of thousands of lbs more. It's like trying to accurately weigh a pencil on the spring/type bathroom scale. I bet you could drive around for 5 minutes and get back on the scale and it might tell you 3520, or 3630. The scales at a racetrack where they are meant for cars in the 2500-3800lb range will be a better place to weigh your vehicle.

Weird. A Car and Driver article I've had since it came out states the Camaro Z28 coupe's curb weight is either 3450 or 3550. Can't remember the exact spec.

Mine is a 99 z28 but I weighed here in my town at exactly 3600 lbs with me in it and a completly full tank of gas. I weigh 175 and a full tank of gas is about 95lbs. So my car weighs about 3400 lbs.

'95 hardtop, cloth interior, p/w, p/l, Bone stock, 4l60e and manifolds my car weighed 3480 w/o me in it. on a set of scales at the local dump. Just to verify it's legitamacy, I hopped on the scales myself And it accurately showed my weight within 5lbs of my bathroom scales.

if it is an interstate certified scale, you can believe that it is accurate at 3,400 or 50,000 pounds.

^^ Hope you are planning on aluminum heads for that BBC. That's 70-80# right there. Also, use an electric fan and an EWP with a low mount alternator and you'll save alot of weight off the front of that thing.

Has anyone ever made t-tops with lexan instead of real glass for 4th gens?? My 89 Formula 350 had them factory and they were tons lighter than the usual glass tops.
