You need to provide WAY more info, more than just "my car overheated."

oh my bad lol.engine never been rebuilt. lt1 1993 103,456 miles on it a4. well it has a new radiator around 5 months old. the radiator hoses are all new same time i replaced the radiator. none of the radiator hoses are leaking. the water pump dont leak. no leaks at all. and i think my thermostat works because the upper radiator hose is as warm as the lower ones right. if the thermosttat was nt opening my upper radiator hose would be cooler right?

my temp gague dont work since ive bought the car. my car has been fine until yesterday it started to boil big time it sounded really bad like a bunch of boiling noise in the radiator. oh and i had always bled the car through the bleeder hoses more than oncce until it had no air pockets. the car coolant is up to the filler neck so it does have coolant and a good mix of 50/50. full strength mix with distilled water. i think it could be the radiator cap not holding pressure. what you guys think? please help....
oh and i only drove the car 10 min on the freeway with no traffic whatsoever. so i did not idle long and it was during night time so the air was pretty cool.

could it be the radiator cap?

well i had this same problem not ot long ago, water pump did not leak out of the weep hole, fans would not kick on unless manually, and all fuses were good.. I trouble shoot the car for a day and i just knew it was the water pump well here is the pic to prove it ( they just sometimes have bearing fail sometimes) oh yea mine had less then 1k miles before it went out

classic symptoms of a bad t-stat. Replace that first, bleed system and then see where you are.

yeah my fans kick in they work fine. i found out what it was hopefully. when my car was overheating i remember that the fans were going on in the first ten minutes, but the top of the engine felt cold and i was like why are the fans going on? now i know probably why. it must had been the thermo was shut tight and that had cause the bottom part of the engine to overheat and stand still. i bought a new thermo. took out the old one out and tested it with a new one from autozone. i put both on a pan filled with enough water to cover both of them pretty deep and whala the new one opened yet the old one remained shut close and not a single gap of openess. i hope its only that. later on today ima put the new one and refill/bleed the cooling system and hope that takes care of everything.
