Are you at liberty to tell which company you got your hood from? How was the fit/finish?


I wonder if you could be collecting from each of those other companies for using your picture??

Man, I love this car. Everything just flows well together.

 

You know I honestly can't remember what company I bought the hood from. That was roughly 3 years ago and it was some random company off Ebay if I remember correctly.

Fitment/quality/paint- Fitment was so so. The bottom side of the actual Ram Air hit the alternator and when the car was running, it grinded about a 1 inch long hole into the hood. I didn't realize it hit because it actually shut/closed just fine. Other then that it fit just fine.

Prepping and painting it on the other hand...lol Let's just say the paint shop told me that they would never paint a fiberglass hood again. A lot of waves in it so they had to bondo the shi* out of it and the paint took SEVERAL coats to stick and look decent. Here is where the paint shop F up...they originally told me it would run about $300-350 to prep and paint it. In the end, it probably cost them a couple grand with materials and labor. They tried to half *** it and give it back to me and I was like, hell no. You said you could do the job right the first time, so that's what I expected. They were really pissed about the whole transaction which I don't blame them. At least they are aware of what not to bid out at the begging now huh...lol

I like the gunmetal wheels on your car. They were sick!!

 

I liked them too but the TT2s came up and sold them to a buddy of mine. I might go back to them down the road but instead of 17x9s all the way around if opt for going to 18x7 and 18x8/9s so there isnt a 2" lip on all fours and after the staggered look. Seen them on another car and the stance and size looked much better IMO with these rims. There SportMaxx 962s.
