LS7s are now stock replacements and would work very well for your build. I'm using a set now with good results.

Good to hear. Morels are so dang expensive. Trying to get everything figured out and a list so I can start ordering it all when the funds come in.

Going to go with a brand new set of lifters. Most likely ls7 as they are cheap for what you get.

I use Howards Cams lifters...Little known fact: they are made by Morel and are $150/set...They are very nice, work well, and are not too expensive.

LS7s are a mixed bag. Some claim no problem; others claim lots of problems. Do GOOGLE search on them and you'll find the posts.

One guy on LS1LT1 just posted photos of LT1s and LS7s disassembled and laying side by side. You can see there are differences.

Personally, if I was going to buy new lifters, I'd skip over them. They just don't inspire confidence with me.

When the LS7 lifters first came out, there were confirmed reports that the cup was shallower than stock. Last year I measured my set of LS7s and compared them to stock and they had the same cup depth.
