It's your car, not ours.

A4? M6? Daily driver? Drag car? Current mods?

Basic tune up first, cosmetic second, performance third.

IDK I always say traction first because there is no point in moding it if you can't get it off the line. But hearing the engine scream is worth a loss or two. with 1400 you may be able to pick up some knock off wheels and some go fast goodies.

^^This^^

I say buy drag wheels if you're in the market for wheels. A set of pro stars is always a good investment.

If my car was completely stock, I'd be getting a shifter (of your choice, $200) if its a 6 speed, a set of pacesetters and fab up some duals (i had my entire setup cost me around $600 or so), a cai ($150) , and a set of lowering springs and bilstein shocks ($500 for both). If its an auto, minus the shifter, id do the same mods except I'd get a set of gears instead of the shifter (assuming you can instal them yourself). This is the exact setup I did on my old car. Gave the engine a little kick, the suspension a little tighter, and sounded awesome. Its your car though and the decision is all yours. A little info about the car would be helpful though. Hell an opti might be what your car needs. Tell us about it first.

Is it an auto or a manual? A4 is the 4L60, A-auto, 4 is for for 4 forward speeds. M6 is the T56 six speed, M-Manual, 6 forward speeds.

I would do exhaust first. A set of long tubes and a good cat back or set of true duals and a tune. Then you can probably find some nice used rims and tires on here

So A4....how many miles on the tranny? Is it in good working order? If so, I would do some "free mods" like, TB By-pass, 160 Stat, get rid of the donkey dick and put a smooth 90 elbow on, MSD wires/new plugs and a set of LT's (Long Tube Headers) and a tune. Then down the road some GM 3.73 gears. My favorite mods for my last A4 was the LT's and 3.73's. Launched from hole shots and left M6's in the dust

Another good area to look into. UMI makes some great suspension for the F-Body's Never once had a single issue with any of their stuff fitting or performing on both of my builds.
