Im bolt ons and bolt offs and am hoping for 12.5 tomorrow if I can get my 60' down to 1.7 (was 1.929 on my 12.711 run). With 1.6s, a 3000lb race weight, one hell of a ram air funnel intake system, a 9", suspension, gears, and slicks I could understand mid to high 11s. Thats actually my goal for next year.

i hate running into those tools. One guy tried to tell me his stock 5.0 mustang went 12.40's. like a 1991 lol. All you can do is sit there and say "this dude has no idea what hes talking about so who cares". bet he woulda **** himself if we found a 91 and ran it today. prolly do a 15.6 lol.

its about as funny as seeing the guys that say the are making 400 hp and dyno in with 200 rwhp.
Also had a guy that told me his stock 94 volvo 940 would smoke my trans am b/c my trans am is a 'pontiac' (& pontiacs suck), & his car is a turbo, and that vovlo's turbo technology is at least 5 years ahead of everyone else's. That 162hp beast had me shakin in my boots.

Bolt-on record has been in the 11s for years.
I know you guys are new to the forums, but you're starting to make yourselves look ignorant. The world is a bigger place then Heartland Park.
If you didn't believe me, all you had to do was a quick search. Its a topic that has been beaten to death.

Shon Herron had it for a long time at 11.805 (from 2006 til 2008)
1SlowFormula had the record for a short time at 11.561
95Z28camaro is also in 11's with a 11.91
All of this information has been posted many times over in the "fastest" list. Read it right here:

I don't see why high 11's is so hard to believe....or even mid 11's from someone who has ALOT of time and money invested into maximizing what they have.
I'm not planning on running my car until I get a stronger rearend, but then with good traction if I don't run some mid 12's at full weight with bolt-ons, I'm not going to be happy. I do realize it probably won't happen the first runs, but with seat time I mean.

Seriously??!! From 13.6x to mid 12's by cutting .35 off the 60'? How is that possible? I'm not doubting it, I just want to know how that would happen. I managed my best time at SGMP yesterday with 13.845 and a 2.08 60' with El Cheapo street tires. That's with a 2.73 rear end and the mods in my sig, no weight-loss in a pig-heavy vert with 3/4 tank of gas. I could see possibly getting down to 13.5 with just sticky tires, but 12's??

3.73's with a 4L60E will rock.
ss4000 converter
some really good rear tires.
1/8th a tank of fuel
trim some more weight out of it
easy 12's

I am running 2.73's with the stock converter, so I am pretty happy with the 13.84. I doubt I can get better than 13.5 with better tires.
But I do have a 3.42 rear end that I picked up this summer. I plan to throw it under the car and get some sticky tires next. And I have a Yank 3000 in the garage I managed to get for less than half-price about a year ago. Hopefully will get it in this winter.
