i believe stock wires are 7mm. someone correct me if i'm wrong. i know 8.5mm wires will not be able to be routed in the little clips/holders that the stock wires sit in behind the alternator. look into an over the valve cover set-up. makes things much easier and cleaner IMO

Don't use anything larger than 8mm wires. It's just not necessary, and with 8mm they can be routed via stock location. As already stated, anything larger than 8mm and you'll have to find a different way to route them. I wouldn't even replace the stock ones regardless of application unless they are cracked or burned.

Myself and others here have had arcing issues with Taylor wires. Some do not and love them.

Some swear by them and some swear at them.

I had Taylors routed OTVC and absolutely hated them. They started to split, crack, and arc after only a year. Ditched them for the MSDs and no problems since.

Never had a problem with the taylors, put the 8mms on 4 years and 40k ago, never had a problem. Put on some 8.2s on when 1 of the 8s got cut in half by the serp belt, but still have one 4 year old 8mm on plug #7 because that one SUCKS *** to change. No problems. Car never sees garage or a wash and revs to 6100 at the track for over 80 passes.

I have those ones too, they were a pita routing in the stock location, other than that I like them. Great price compared to the stock replacement ones from the parts stores, I think they had their good ones, not perfomance, for $90 and some change. I said **** that and got the jegs wires.
