Oh I will be there ready to race too. Something as small as a rod knock isn't going to stop me. Plus, if I don't show up who is going to win?

So what class would I be in if I have
Turbo
Le heads
Comp.cam
roller rockers
Headers
rear control arms
Small stall
Gears?
They all just bolted on with no fab work and I also have no roll cage.

I think it should be in more than one location, the lx shootouts have several of the drawn out n different cities and the ltx shootout is only in one location kinda dumb and unfair to a lot of people if you ask me

it is and it isnt. yes it would be nice to have it in multiple locations throughout the year but 1. our community isnt as big as the lsx community 2. this event is sponsored, ran, and raced all by the racers. their is barely any outside help. the main guys who organize this simply cant afford to hold 4 or 5 races a year. 1 race 1 event thats it. and it makes it a lot cooler and unique that way as well.

yea it sux its so far away. im hauling 20 hours one way! but its worth it to be on a national stage showing off what u got in front of the world. plus u get to meet soooooo many people. relationship building is priceless

X2. It is a great event and some people drive a long way to get there. It is understandable that the distance would keep some people away. If you could just make the drive once, even to spectate, you will be hooked. I talked my buddy into taking his car the first year (2008) and after that I had to build a car to join in on the fun.

It'd be nice if someone would organize a trucking company/hot shot/car hauler for the west coast guys. Not ideal, but an idea at least.

It used to be at KCIR 2008 and 2009. I ran there in 09 and it was a decent track.

Im out. Was up in the air, but the risk of blowing the car up racing, then shitting the trans in the truck on the way home is too much. And the $600 in gas to get there would better be served for a cam.

Location is perfect, sorts out all of the manginas that claim they would attend if it was 5 minutes from thier
house.
In the middle of fly-over country, it is nowhere near anyones house.

Yeah, I would consider my 6 hour drive short compared to others. If everyone would have showed up when it was at KCIR then I doubt it would have moved.
