Default converting a slipfit header to 3 bolt

I know i have seen this for sale somewhere.. it about 4 to 6 inches of pipe and it slips over the collector and has the 3 bolt flange on the other side

Why not just get a 3 bolt flange welded onto the end of the header?

they are on the car and im tired of dealing with band clamps.. i would rather just do this..

Slip-fits are better anyway.

A good slip fit and a band clamp thats tq'd right works like a charm. I just swapped back to slip fit after 3-bolt.

Slip fits seal better (IMO) and give you more ground clearance and flexibility while installing. It definitely depends on the quality of the clamp though.

He speaks the truth, I was about to cut the flanges off of my lt's before I sold my car because they scraped the speed bumps going to my job every day.

I will take a proper fitting slip fit any day. Three bolt flanges warp, leak, blow gaskets out and reduce ground clearance.

i have pace setter headers with a 3" collector and a 3 inch y pipe.. what would be the best clamps to get for this setup..
