Default 9.67 pass

it looks like I never posted it in here for my LTx brotha's LOL

I got out Sat Nov. 6th with some customers to do some final year testing. I got a few things straightened out with the suspension and went back to my M/T 275/60/15 Radials.

I'm very pleased with the setup

3380 race weight
-500 DA

NA
1.40
10.62
126

N20 / 200
1.31
9.67
138

I had the controller set at 80% / .04 and wanted to try a more aggressive tune up, but the track went away and could not match the 1.31. I also have a little issue to be resolved which should help as well. I had went 3 passes in the 139.5-140.5 mph the week before. I know with a good track, fresh bottles and shift points all good the car will go .5x's as it sits and then I could spray more.

The best part I love is driving to and from the track 1+hrs at 70+ mph

Thanks

Dave @ Yank
Dave and Crew @ Nitrous Outlet

here is a video ( thanks Chris @ N.O.) from a couple weeks before the the above mentioned best pass when I was delaying the n20 due to traction issues

1.31 60ft from above without a trans bug should have got me the .5x , but there's always next year and then more spray

Impressive, that great keep up the good work its nice to LTx beating LSx (that GTO) like that.

dont want to get to personal with your car but do u have 1.7 RR that u have high valve covers? What is that next to the linelock?? is that a small fuel cell where the battery used to be? See u have a nice hood with a cowl, but it looks to me like the stock hood could close or is it due to the filter case? where gen we get your article from the magazine online??

thanks..it does run well for an old LTx car

1.6 rockers and the valve covers are more for looks then anything

Proportioning valve for brakes

Nitrous Outlet dedicated fuel cell in batter location

There is no way would a stock hood close with the lid setup as I have it.I wanted to have it near stock unlike many who have cut the core support and base up. The hood, air lid, and lower air box had to all be cut or trimmed and it still slightly rubs.

Nice runs, Larry. Your engine bay is likely one of the cleanest around. Props all around - great job.

Awesome!

Just out of curiousity, why did you switch back to the MTs? Hoosiers weren't hooking as well?

thanks Colin

I was fighting traction and never had an issue with the M/T's. I switched tires and then found I screwed up setting my pinion angle. I'm sure I could have got them to work, but talking with some friends with high 7 sec cars they said you always need a good track for Hoosier to work. They said the M/T will work more consistently. There are many fast cars on the Hoosier and the issue was most likely my screw up...oh well

Ah I see. I was just curious because I was very impressed with the Hoosiers at the shootout after watching Alan and Jeff's cars hooking great with them

Hook and book Larry, It left so soft even with the nitrous activating like 3 feet out. The front end stays up so nice and the rear squats just enough to leave like like a bad out of hell. Was that a trans issue from 2-3 gear or just the audio from the recording device?

yeh it was a soft launch with only a 1.40

2-3 is giving me some problems and that was my bug mentioned before that we need to figure out..flare on shift and lest time out was really bad. I have in car video I need to load from last time out and the 1.3 60ft which is pretty cool IMO

your car would be a good race as mine sits if you did not have bad luck and could get it out
