Exactly, so why bring it up? I did a fair comparison with equal pricing. You could go top of the line and be more expensive on both sides. You could go cheaper on both sides. This is a pointless argument you've made. Drop it.

Again, why are you asking me? I'm not the OP and I'm not a moderator. I'm just doing the same thing you are, posting in a thread. Get over it.

And that ZZP kit on an L67 makes 400+ vs. the $1600 LE h/c that would barely do that in an M6 IF that. And on top of that, $1600 forgets a TON of things NECESSARY for that to make any amount of power even close to 400 let alone for installation.

Travis said it best. I'm done.

Ummm before you go and become hypocritical realize what you said first. says you were done 3 pages ago and be done and stop posting on it? I never said i wont post on it again i said this is an LT1 forum why is there a thread with nothing to do with an LT1..............But hey good try

You were still missing a lot of required parts in order to run that set up. Fueling being the most obvious. Maybe a wastegate, I dunno.

I lied. I'm so sorry.

It is directly comparing an LT1 to a 3800. I'd say a direct comparison of motors qualifies anyway.

You keep crying about this damn thread stay the hell out if it bunches up your panties. Jesus. I'm sorry I know more than you about 3800s. I'm sorry you like to argue your failed points repeatedly. I'm sorry you are reading a thread you don't like. I'm sorry I am FORCING YOU TO READ THIS THREAD. Go be angry and ignorant somewhere else.

If you read the OP you would get why we're having this debate in the first place. Who cares that it needs a supercharger? It's over 100 cubic inches smaller. If you take a stock LT1 and a stock L67 and mod them, they are very comparable. I'd say the edge even goes to the L67.

Wow i actually read this thread. Worthless to me. I dont give two ***** about how the 3800 stacks up against an lt1. Lswho keeps saying it isnt his thread but 99% of the posts are yours. I wish my nuts were a 3800 they could use a good swinger.

Stock LT1: 230-260whp 13.7-14.3@95-100

GTP1 and 2 does intake, pulley, rockers = even. $300
LT1 does intake/exhaust 260-300whp $800
GTP does headers, smaller pulley = even. $650
GTP2 goes turbo = 450whp $3800
LT1 does rest of bolt ons $800ish
GTP1 does intercooler/smaller pulley = low 12s. $1200

So far:
GTP1 about $2000 low-mid 12s
LT1 about $1600 mid 12s
GTP2 about $4000 low high 10s

LT1 does cam $1000 11.999
GTP1 does cam $400 11.8
GTP2 waits

LT1 does heads $1400 11.0-11.5
GTP does heads $1300 11.0-11.5
GTP2 waits?

GTP1 - $3700 11.0
LT1 - $4000 11.0
GTP2 - $4000 10.7

I was completely honest and fair with this assessment. VERY equal vehicles when it comes to modding.
Only one thing about that comparison i don't see mentioned, 150 shot nitrous kit for the LT1. Its the single cheapest mod to make LT1's run 11's with bolt-on's.

ok so fueling being the most important.. you can build a brand new fuel system for under 2k.. still you could go the cheaper route and just do injecters and duel pumps in tank.. around 600.. some turbo's have the wastegate built into it.. so no i did not leave that out..

Why are you still arguing this? I already showed you a $1k turbo build on the L67. You simply cannot match it even if you could magically do it with stock fueling. Not to mention you still ignored engine swap costs. It ain't free ya know.

Let it go.

It's simply asinine to try to compare boosting an NA motor vs. boosting a factory FI motor. You'll lose every time.

umm... I don't know of any guys with 3800's that need to dump $2,000 into their fuel systems. We usually go with bigger injectors for under $300 and we're set to about 650whp on the stock pump.

Exactly if it's as easy and as cheap as some guys claim why aren't there more GTP's beating LT1's?

Depends on the track you go to I suppose. And they've been out for years, but the majority of owners are 40+ so finding them in large numbers at the strip would have never happened. If people would realize they are pretty much the GN of the 90s in a crappy FWD platform.

Now seriously people. Let this thread die.
