Default SS replacement filter?

I can't seem to find a replacement filter for the SS cars. I see there are a few people using a K&N filter, but they are not made specifically made for the SS and have fitment problems. Has anyone stumbled onto a better solution?

I thought it was a regular stock Z28 filter? I can't remember since I took it off a year after I got mine.

There is a seller on ebay that sells blue Accel filters for around 30 shipped, they have just about every make/model on the market including for my WS6 airbox, and almost no one had anything other than a K&N

I wish I could remember the model years off the top of my head, but just get a filter made for Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth mini vans. They use the same part number filter.

Just go to your local parts store and pick up a K&N. They work just fine. Had one on my '97 SS with no issues.
