I haven't bought from Chandler before, but I'd considered using them if I needed an opti in a hurry...or just for a spare. After the above post, he will not get any of my business.
lol yeah like OP hasn't made any silly posts either..

That's right......I personally don't like the individual coil look cluttering up everything. JMO. Plus...I know very little about tuning....I have a friend that tunes OBD1 LT1's only. So I really don't want to change platforms. I'm not planning anything over 450 rwhp in my car's future. I just can't see justifying the expense. I am really hoping pricing on this is around what you estimated....or somewhere close to what the LTCC/Delteq conversions cost.

I predict that you are going to sell as many of these as you can build. There are probably people that loved LT1's, but ditched them due to opti problems that are going to pick up a car again when a good setup like this comes along.

I don't mind a silly post. I enjoy them actually. It's the bashing a product because it will be in competition with yours that I don't like. There is no way that Chandler or anyone else can put down this because it has not been released.

No, just that if that was possible we would have seen a solution about 10 years ago. I mean this isn't a new problem. These things have been failing for a decade now. Seriously.

Technology advances.. Different idea's are tried till the right combination is found.. I dont doubt that wicked will make this work.. You shouldn't bash someone for trying something different.. Especially being a sponsor.. Your here for support not to bash someone trying to a little engineering.. You leave a sour taste in my mouth sir..

Exactly...that's why I said he's scared to be ran out of business. His products keep showing up DOA anyway. He's on his last leg in the Opti show and he knows it.

EFI Connection just came out with the 24x setup not too long ago...that wasn't around 10 years ago. And it's a complete opti delete. It's a solution to the opti.

There's a ton of potential here. The fact is, the LT1 wasn't around all that long, and aftermarket companies don't view the LT1 as a platform to be profitable off of, especially since the birth and constant revision/improvement of the LSX platform. There are other solutions out there, the man hours just haven't been put in on Engineering.

Chandler never said anything towards Wicked or about the opti delet.

His post about pigs flying was directly aimed towards a quote asking for a reliable, cheap, easy to install, fairytale version of an opti. Which I agree, is not going to happen. If it was possible it would have been done already.

Wicked is not working on a new optispark distributer, but a replacement for it - hardly direct competition to an opti supplier unless it somehow costs the same amount(which it won't).

You guys seriously need to chill, one person takes a comment out of text and everyone gets all riled up .

i had to get the reluctors re-cut for a better waveform, then should be in by monday/tuesday. Then it's just a matter of getting the right signals to the pcm. I have a modified PCM already ready for testing. Plug and play harness is done as well.

if fact, demand for chandler's cheap optis could increase, because my setup will just "piggyback" onto any optispark. These will be both on an exchange basis, or outright sale if the customer's opti isn't in good shape.

Badass, can't wait to see one running.

I'm waiting for my cam to come in still so I can measure/order PRs and test PTV. Then its small things - fuel lines, AFPR, timing set, etc.

My engine should be ready to install in maybe 2 months, so if our project times coincide I would love to be one of the first adopters.

Interested. I would rather buy this when my opti goes bad than spend nearly $300 on another opti.
