Default 98-02 front clip

Alright for ***** an giggles, i had a 98-02 front clip laying around. My fuel pump is dead car aint going far outta bordum i threw the front clip on. Im kinda iffy about it still but it will be fun to screw with ppl for the time being till i find a new lt1 hood since my is destroyed. Well the question is how do you wire it up so all 4 of the lights come on? Right now i have it wired using the lt1 clips the head light harness off a ls1 head light has 5 wires all in one clip, 3 for the head lights (same as the lt1 even the colors of the wires) and 2 for the head light motor. so i cut the ls1 clip and wired it just like it should be. how ever when i put on my hi beams my low beams go out. how do i fix this?

this could have been a confusing description sorry

That is how it is meant to work. Both ls1 and lt1 headlights do this. There is a.mod that you can do to keep them on. There are a few wires that have to be sliced together in order to make it do that.

I had a friend did that mod back in 03, it was called the " dirty bird" mod or some thing like that. You may be able to find a post some where on it.

Hmm... Wanna sell the frontend? I'm just about ready to paint my car, and I'd love to have a 98-up frontend for it

I'm trying to gather all the parts to do 98-02 front end on my bird too.
Did you have to replace your original hood release and latch with the 98-02 hood?

BTW, love how your front end turned out just needs paint

I like the LS1 front ends on the birds better, especially the ram air just my opinion. But I'll take my LT1 style front end on my camaro over the LS1 style any day, it will never change. If I get an LT1 bird it will have the LS1 clip

Just my opinion, but the car looks great and if you get rid of the sleek beak it will look 200% better
