so let me get this right? you wanna put a 300shot on your car so you can blow up the motor thus losing your car and $5000? (at least the car wont be worth as much to the new owner)
it seems to me it would be a safe investment to build the motor to take a 300 shot and WIN the other dudes car and $5000 which will pay for the build

No 94s used EPROMS. They were ALL flash memory.
And even then, you're probably looking at the piggyback modules. 93 ECMs (engine control module as opposed to the powertrain control module for 94+) have the actual circuit board that goes into the ECM.
Either way, Hypertech "chips", "tuners", and piggyback modules offer very little in performance gain, if any, and can't hold a candle to the RIGHT way to tune a PCM/ECM.
