If your going to try and blow a load with a 300 why not do 2 stages and level it out a bit. Are you going to run stickies and how many passes are you going to have to run?

you're racing for pinks and $5,000?

so let me get this right? you wanna put a 300shot on your car so you can blow up the motor thus losing your car and $5000? (at least the car wont be worth as much to the new owner)

it seems to me it would be a safe investment to build the motor to take a 300 shot and WIN the other dudes car and $5000 which will pay for the build

Iron. Stronger than aluminum and thats why the old hodrodders do it on their FI and nitrous motors. Best chance. But its like going from 1 in a million to 2 in a million that youll make it down the track as your bottom end will **** well before the aluminum heads.

Alot of old school racers used iron heads because of their budget. Aluminum is the way to go...

+1 id love you to show me an aftermarket iron head. Even the most extreme heads for extreme builds (C5 R heads come to mind) are aluminium

No 94s used EPROMS. They were ALL flash memory.

And even then, you're probably looking at the piggyback modules. 93 ECMs (engine control module as opposed to the powertrain control module for 94+) have the actual circuit board that goes into the ECM.

Either way, Hypertech "chips", "tuners", and piggyback modules offer very little in performance gain, if any, and can't hold a candle to the RIGHT way to tune a PCM/ECM.
