Default do iron block LS engines require a oil cooler

do iron block LS engines Like the LQ4-9 require a oil cooler?

if yes are there oil line fittings on the block?

did'nt know where to post posted here since LT1s are iron blocks.

Thanks

Your better off posting this in the LS section because there is nothing similar on the LQ4/LQ9 blocks to the LT1's.

To answer part of your question not all LT1's used oil coolers, (mine didn't come with one from the factory) but the once that came with it used oil cooler adapter that fits between oil filter and block.

Even on the LT1s they were considered useless. GM dropped it as an option altogether in 1995.
