question about racing gas
#2
When a car is boosted, racing or high octane gas allows more boost/timing without detonation.
Higher octane in a typical NA car is usually pointless. It may get rid of a degree here or there but if you go too high it is harder to burn and may slow you down.
In other words, don't bother.

It may clean some **** up. Its not gonna hurt anything if thats what you are asking. I used to mix racing gas in my old stock bottom end motor all the time cause I would skip out on tuning the car and up the shot. In the long run I paid for my mistake but I rebuilt a badass stroker setup for the spray and now I always will have the car tuned by a professional rather than me thinkin what I know what I am doin. If you are wondering if just throwing race gas is gonna make your motor pick up power its not unless you have it tuned on it so you can add more timing but then your gonna be stuck payin 5$ a gallon to drive the car.

Lol no I'm good on race gas. I was initially gonna build my motor for FI D1SC but ppl say its too expensive my car isn't going to be an all out drag car to be honest I live within a . Hr drive from all the tracks in California I'm just to chicken **** to go BC my car isn't fast enough.
I'm 23 in college and I finally have a well paying job. So its time for me to do something.
I already know which top end I'm getting AI. But Idk which bottom end for spray.
Long story short I'm going to Nelson's tomorrow so he can help me out.
Are JET HOT LT any good?

in the long run yes it will.....however a very well tuned car will last a while even with leaded fuel....if the car is rich it will foul them out quickly.....i go a solid year at least on my WB02's and im on leaded race fuel 100% of the time...

hey you E85 newb, buy my 63s so I can buy 83s for my nitrous 63s at 60 psi are good for ~750hp.
Yea you'd be lucky to get C12 for less than $13/gal plus the 5 dollar pail fee, plus whatever other fees they'll gouge you on here.
The big positive to race gas, is the consistancy of the fuel. You can get 100 octane leaded, that will pick up almost 10.5:1+ compression any car I'm sure.
