Do you guys drive your cars during winter?

I start it up and drive it around the neighborhood on the nice days during the winter months here in Oregon. If I drove this thing in the winter it would look like crap and have rock chips from the pavement being tore up due to all the people that run studs on the streets. Let alone the rock salt used on the roads/hwys eat through the finish on the wheels. Plus I kinda like not driving it all the time. Makes me appreciate the car more and I don't get burnt out on it. I run **** over w/ my Jeep in the winter

i bought some stock 16" wheels and firestone winterforce tires. does great. mine are 225/50R16 IIRC
Just remember, the skinnier the tire the better. a larger tire has to "plow" through the snow.

I ran my car through Pittsburgh winters for two years when it was running low 13s as a bolt on car. The Blizzaks I had were retarded, I added zero weight and didn't drive overly cautious and the tires were amazing. People were stunned when they rode around in the car, the downside to that is though, when its nice outside and you want to drive a little spirited, it's like driving on a deflated baloon. They are made for one thing and one thing only.

I've pretty much given up driving in any kind of bad weather. I run 275 Falken's cause they are cheap and they have been good to me. You can drive them in the rain and light snow, but any ice and your done. With my current motor in the cold weather it will spin under any heavy acceleration. It can only really be driven right with the M/T's on back.

i USE blizzaks and have 150 lbs of sand in the back.. It's pretty good, but what can suck is getting into/out of parking spots.

i have some bald 275/40zr17 riken raptors on my z28. i drove it in the blizzard last week and got stuck in front of my house. then, even in 2nd gear, i couldnt get up the driveway because of all of the ice

I got caught in a light flurry last year with my sumitomo's.... I live on a steep hill and lets just say it wasnt "fun" I didnt attempt to drive my car after that huge blizzard for 3 days. i learned my lesson already lol
