Not cool on so many levels.... Just curious, what was the reason to tear it down?

This is a paper towel tho. So I have paper towel stuck in the oil pump drive gear in the cam gear and who knows where else. I been fishing for paper towel all of last night.

You mean that paper towel was in there when you pulled the intake manifold?

HUH. Time to pull the engine and look for damage/more surprises.

To me listening to that vid and seeing what you have said leads me to believe that if you have good oil pressure that your pump is fucked but your motor may be fine..

Took the oil pump off and primed it and all i could here was a knocking sound. I called summit told them the bump was acting weird...i should have another one by Tuesday. So summit FTW.

Ive cleaned all paper towel that is visible... will go back and double check tho

I would be more concerned with where the rest of the orange RTV is. Did it come off with the intake? Or is it in the oil galleries throughout the engine that can't be seen? Stuck in a oil hole in a bearing? Have you dissassembled the oil pump?

After picking on it this wat came off...
It looks like the remnants of a dead puppy.
From the sound of the video it sounds too intermittent to be a rod knock. It may be more garbage being tossed about causing all kinds of havoc...

So, am I reading this right? You accidentally left a paper towel in there when you put it back together??

Subscribed. That sucks, hope your motor is OK.
